Citizenship: Chapter 8 Review

Materials:
Chapters 1-8 practice exam sheets (in closet and attached)
Laminated USCIS flashcards (in closet)
Objective:
Students should be comfortable with all the material in Chapter 8 - the Legislative Branch
Presentation:
No new material today.
Practice Activities:
Make sure you allot time to do the practice tests (#4).
1) Make sure they all know who their Senators and Congressman are (depending on where people live, their Congressman is either Jim Moran or Tom Davis) - list of towns/communities in each district is in closet
2) Pick from the review activities on pages 145 and 146. If time, do the test on page 149.
3) Play a trivia game to review the Legislative and Executive Branches
4) Hand out quiz sheets. Students should answer as at least 6 of the questions on their sheet. This is how they will be told to answer questions at their interview.
There are 4 versions of the quiz, but have all the students use Test #1.
Leave 10-15 minutes for this activity.
